Ms. Lopa Ruparel is an experienced professional with work experience spanning almost 30 years in the Banking and Finance services domain and more specifically Internal Audit, Compliance, Quality Initiatives, Mergers & Acquisitions, Talent Development etc. with extensive knowledge on the Regulatory compliances and Service standards applicable to banking companies in India.

Her experience includes setting up the Policy and functioning framework for Internal and Group Audit, formulating Risk and Control assessment models, overseeing Audit Lifecycle in large and diverse geographies, enabling Technology-based auditing as well as aiding in implementation of International Standards on Internal Audit. Her auditing experience spans across various businesses and operating units viz, Retail banking, Payment services and Digital channels, Wholesale banking- Credit and Trade Finance, Treasury, Forex, Distribution products and Service Quality as well as Assurance functions viz, Compliance and Risk Management units. She has also extensively orchestrated Talent Development initiatives, encompassing both functional and skill-based Training programs for auditors.

She is known as a result-oriented leader, having effective Team Management and Problem-solving abilities along with strong Communication skills enabling Collaboration across stakeholder teams.

She worked at HDFC Bank Ltd for 27 years across various leadership roles before setting up her Consulting firm, enabling Institutions in the Financial services domain, to formulate and fortify the effectiveness of Governance and monitoring frameworks as well as aid them in designing Talent Development initiatives for Assurance functions.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mumbai University, Chartered Accountant degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has also completed the Management Development Programme from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
